THE BAND

Rosie's Corset formed in January 2006. Rich (Irelands answer to Brian May) and myself (Mike, drums) performed a rather risqué rendition of the Balloon Dance for the local Exminster School Charity Ball. Armed with a drum kit and guitar, we had a jam after the Ball (2 am and very drunk!) after recovering from the hangover a few days later, Rich and I mulled over the idea about starting a band. His neighbour Don, played bass and busks extremely well (you can sometimes see him outside Tescos on Sundays). Nick (Exminsters karaoke king) was a prime candidate for vocals. Lynne and Jill joined us as backing singers, and we are joined by them on stage where venue size permits. The singing angel, Kas, sang in the local panto and was introduced by Rich. Jim replied to an ad in the paper for a sax player but we think he was sent from God. Not forgetting our Jo, who was introduced by Rich. Jo has been playing sax for a short while after years of playing the clarinet and has been taken under Jim's wing. As a group we have a lot of late nights and laughs together, and we look forward to entertaining you at your forthcoming event.
